Working with local communities during the Covid-19 crisis
During the Covid-19 pandemic, our employees have been working hard to support local communities.

Surgical masks
Disposable aprons
Pairs of gloves
The response from the care homes has been overwhelming and is a source of great pride to our employees.
Keeping people connected
Working with our charity partner CRASH, we donated 25 laptops to seven different hospices around the UK to help patients and their loved ones to stay connected via video calls during the pandemic. The equipment was also used to help hospices stay in touch with patients in the community and aid remote working through lockdown.

Creating face shields
To help protect our employees and customers, workers on site are now wearing face shields.
Members of our team have been busy making them with 3D printers and they are being distributed across the UK.
We supported St Mungo’s with food box donations
We committed to helping the team at St Mungo’s deliver 3,000 food boxes to people in their accommodation services. Each box provided food to last for two weeks and was delivered to those who had to self isolate during the pandemic.
We also made a donation to help the charity set up a food storage facility and the logistics to distribute more donations to the most vulnerable members of society.
Supporting local causes
We donated £2,000 to the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) to help keep its crews safe during the pandemic. Our donation was used towards sourcing additional personal protective equipment PPE to keep them protected as they carry out vital work in the local community.

The Taylor Wimpey Isolation Challenge
Our employees and partners came together during the challenge to fundraise more than £70,000 for NHS, Crisis and Childline,
The isolation challenge involved matching the number of miles, kilometres or repetitions completed in the sport of choice.
Hundreds of colleagues from across the business committed to cycling, running, jumping and all sorts of other forms of sport during the national lockdown, sharing their efforts and congratulating their colleagues using our internal social media platform, Yammer.

Supporting schools and parents
We've made our schools packs available on our website for teachers and parents to download whilst many school children are still learning from home.
Our free of charge packs cover five topics and are curriculum linked.
